Founding Member of The Technical Staff

About Vectoral

Vectoral is a B2B security company protecting LLM API traffic from fraud and abuse, including token resellers, account farms, denial-of-wallet attacks, automated scraping, CSAM, and model distillation.

We’re already working with some of the largest names in inference and are looking for exceptional engineers to help us build and scale the security layer for AI infrastructure.

Role Overview

As a Founding Member of the Technical Staff, you will work end-to-end across our stack, supporting mission-critical, high-throughput risk decisions for our customers. You’ll own major technical decisions and ship code that immediately serves production users. This is a unique opportunity to shape both product and culture from the ground up.

What You’ll Work On

  • Go based ingestion and scoring api

  • Signals pipeline: cost/velocity, network, behavioral, and prompt-content feature extractors, all mapped to an append-only feature schema shared with the model trainer.

  • Python LightGBM trainer that fits and Platt calibrates per-customer models, with a linear fallback scorer.

  • Browser sensor (vanilla JS) that detects Puppeteer, Playwright, and stealth plugins—combining automation tells with HMAC-signed short-lived tokens for server-side decisions.

  • Next.js / React 19 / Tailwind customer dashboard.

What We Offer

We want to build an exceptional team, and we're willing to go above and beyond to get the right people.

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Unlimited paid time off

  • Flexible work hours

Who We’re Looking For

  • A generalist who thrives across the stack: picking the right layer for the problem, not just their comfort zone.

  • Strong backend fundamentals (in Go or able to ramp up quickly), deep comfort with Postgres and ClickHouse (query plans, indexes, load).

  • Experience carrying production on-call for a latency-sensitive service, with a track record of debugging hard, non-obvious incidents.

  • Adversarial mindset: you’ll build systems that face deliberately creative and motivated adversaries.

  • ML familiarity (gradient boosting, calibration, feature engineering, label scarcity) is a plus, but strong systems skills and judgment matter most.

Why Join Us

  • Build from day one on a product making a real impact with active customers.

  • Founding engineering role: shape product, architecture, and company culture from the ground up.

  • Significant technical ownership, direct influence on all aspects of what we build and how we build it.

  • Work with a tight, highly skilled team on problems where robust systems matter and where your work directly contributes to customer security and satisfaction.

If you’re excited to build products that stand up to adversaries, enjoy shipping code that matters, and want to join an early team where your impact is outsized, we want to talk to you.
